Jilly founded BlueJam Cumbria in 2002

Creative Director and Company Secretary of BlueJam Cumbria (BlueJam Arts) at incorporation in 2007 until present day.


Qualifications:             B.A. (Hons) Music. York University  1977

Grade 8 Piano 1972: Grade 8 Flute  1973: Grade 6 trumpet 2016

Music skills:

Piano, voice, flute, whistle, kit drums & percussion, accordion, trumpet. Working knowledge of most other instruments.

Composer & arranger for acapella, instrumental & combined groups, music theatre, film & dance, especially mixed ability groups.

Genres: Jazz, blues, world, improvised, folk, contemporary classical.

Music software: Sibelius, Logic, Garageband. Live recording including choirs, PA set up and engineering, studio recording.

Other skills:

T’ai Chi, dance, video editing (QLab, Premiere Pro). Website creation and maintenance (Dreamweaver, Wordpress).

Training: with Early Years team at Sage Gateshead as part of Vocal Force programme.

Delivering training and resources:

Sing Up/Sage Gateshead: Resources Officer 07-10  collecting repertoire from Vocal Union, Vocal Force and Sing Up Leaders, teachers and trainees and creating a web resource at Recording, transcribing, scoring and arranging songs for Early Years. 2007 – 2014.
